The Lobos' Katie Hnida (2) made history but not the extra point when she kicked after a touchdown in the first quarter of the Las Vegas Bowl. Hnida was the first woman to kick in an NCAA Division I-A football game. Her kick sailed low and was blocked by UCLA's Brandon Chillar (11) in Wednesday's game. Coach Rocky Long said Hnida, a nonscholarship player, had earned a chance to get into a game. UCLA won 27-13.
